Kapre

This is my take on the Kapre, one of the mythical creatures in the Philippines. The story of the tobacco-smoking giant is commonly told as a bedtime story to scare the children from staying out and playing late at night on the streets. But there is a tale where he is kind of the equivalent of the BFG, protecting a child from her abusive step parents. I hoped to convey the gentle and kind version of the giant here in this piece.
